Stoke This Pen One Hundred Times, Let Me See What I Can Find: Paranoid Pablum From The Psych Ward

0 ratings

This book is a short synopsis of everything Justin Vitale can do as a writer, online forum poster, poker and political analyst, and social media personality. It was written within ten hours after he finally got access after four days in the psych ward to a pen and paper while doing a short stint in voluntary rehab after his Grandmother Marjorie Sue Hilliard, also known as his conscience, passed away due to lung cancer. The idea for this format and title of this book was influenced by the lyrics from a Prince song titled "1+1+1=3." Specifically the line "Stroke her hair one hundred times, let me see what I can find." And this is the first time Justin Vitale has every wrote as himself after he decided to ditch the pen names Isol8, Alien8, Lotgrinder, Heistmaster, Peter Gibbons, and Sloth. This decision was made when he got out of rehab and started to study the significance of Prince's "Rainbow Children" album. Which was the album where he gave up being the symbol and went back to performing as Prince.
